Elementary Faith Formation

Click here to register online Registration and tuition payment will again be available online in May 2017. For questions regarding Elementary Faith Formation or Children's Liturgy of the Word, contact Maureen Stockwell.

Classes will take place during the 9:00 am Mass.  Children must be in Kindergarten or be old enough to enter Kindergarten the following school year to attend. These two age levels are combined, alternating the texts.

We offer classes on Wednesdays for grades 1 – 5 from 4:15 – 5:45 pm.  Programming includes participation in several of our Catholic customs and rituals, along with opportunities to bring the Gospel to life.

Parents unable to arrange for their children to attend the 4:15 session will have another option: You may home school your child with the same materials we use in the classroom.  Though your child misses the  interaction with others, it allows you the freedom to fit the weekly lessons into your personal schedule.  Periodic feedback is required. You child is always welcome to participate in special activities- please see the bulletin or contact the office for more information.

If your child is also preparing for a sacrament this year, there are parent/child workshops held independent of Wednesday classes or home-schooling. You and your child will need to attend those sessions at the parish. You will receive mailings with pertinent sacrament information.

If you are unable to send your child to classes due to transportation, please contact the office at 517-676-9111 and we will do our best to help you find transportation for your child.

Youth-ActivitesChildren’s Liturgy of the Word (C.L.W.)  PreK-3rd Grade  During 9:00 am Mass

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is designed to actively engage our young parishioners in the Liturgy of the Word during the Mass. Kids between the ages of 4-10 are invited to come forward after the opening prayer. The celebrant then dismisses the kids to go with a catechist to the South Wing. The catechist will then lead kids through age appropriate Scripture readings, interactive   reflection, and prayers of the faithful. Kids return during the  offertory song.
